About the studio
Lifelong gamers who never stopped tinkering.
Metro Mystery is a small independent studio in Houston, Texas. We're not a corporation. We're the friends who used to argue about high scores and now argue about hitboxes.

Press start
Most of us can still remember the first game that hooked us: the glow of the screen, the sound of the cartridge clicking in, the "one more try" at midnight. That feeling is why we make games.
We learned to code the classic way: small programs, tight loops, every byte counting. Taking games apart to see how they tick turned into building our own, and building our own turned into a studio.
Today we ship word games, card games and party games you can play in a browser tab, and we're putting everything we've learned into our first Steam game, Dual Fuse.
How we work
The house rules
- One great hook per gameEvery project starts from a single mechanic that's fun in the first ten seconds. If it isn't, we don't build the rest.
- Respect the player's timePick up, play a run, put it down. Come back because you want to, not because a timer told you to.
- No dark patternsNo loot boxes, no ads on this site, no tracking you around the internet. We'd rather earn the next play.
- Playtest until it's rightWe play our own games constantly. If something feels off to us, it ships when it doesn't.
- Small on purposeBeing small lets us chase odd ideas, the ones that sound wrong in a pitch meeting and feel right on a controller.
